Everything is about design

We grow up to think that we shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover. We are supposed to look inside to judge it’s true character. But, the truth of the matter is that we constantly judge things by it’s appearance. My field of study and work is all about the exterior. It’s about how things look. Design is everywhere. It’s in the health and beauty sector. It’s in the electronic sector. It’s even in the foods sector. We don’t like eating food that look nasty.
Even if you don’t focus on design, it’s a part of your life. The pair of jeans that you buy caught your attention because of design. Maybe the price tag or sale price did it, but you bought it cause it was at least pretty in your eyes.
It may seem like it’s shallow to judge things by it’s exterior, but it really isn’t. Appreciating beauty or design doesn’t make you shallow. It means that you have taste. It means that you have an opinion. It’s human nature to want things beautiful. The natural world is filled with designed beauty.
