This blog post is going to be about desk organization with boxes. You can design you work space the right way by using boxes. I bought a whole bunch of paper boxes over at ikea the other day. I bought a lot and at one point in the store, i thought about putting a few back on the shelf. But, i wish i bought more. These boxes help me keep everything in order. I do not have to worry about closet space or desk organization. If i need to file away something for later use, i can simply stuff them into one of these boxes. They cost about 7 bucks a piece. It is inexpensive and very useful.

I will stock up on these useful paper boxes the next time i head on over to ikea. I tried to buy some over at target and the container store, but it was disappointed. At target, they didn’t have the boxes that i wanted. At the container store, the paper boxes were way too expensive.

I wanted to talk about these two hugely popular video games. These type of next gen video games have been the most popular types of video games out in the market today. I think that people want to all become like rock stars. These video games can let you mimic the movements and gesture of our heroes. The guitar hero franchise is a bit more popular then the rock band version, but the designs of the games and the game play itself is really similar. If you check out the hard ware, i have to give props to the later version. Rock band has better looking hardware. This means that the designs of the rock band version is a bit more cooler in design then the guitar hero version.

These games will not help you play the guitar, but i think the drum version is pretty exact. I like to play drums every once in a while and even the guitar. But, i was really surprised by the similarity between real drumming and the rock band drum sets. I think that kids who are really good at these games have a better shot at becoming a better drum player. If you haven’t played yet, you should check it out.

I bought a few lego salt and pepper shakers over at the lego store the other day. I thought that they were the cutest thing. What is it about objects that are sized out of their normal size that makes them so irresistable. I was wondering if they have any plans to design more kitchen stuff over at lego. I think that it would be a great idea for the company. Also, i wonder if they own a design patent on the shape of legos. These blocks are easiliy identified as lego pieces. There are other companies that make these brick like toys, but i wonder if lego owns the patent for the original design.

I can think of a whole bunch of things that you can design with lego stuff. Imagine your whole kitchen or bathroom filled with shampoo bottles and lotion containers that look like legos. It is a bit cheesy to use too much, but one here and there should be really cute.

I just bought the latest issue of web designer magazines. I have been a fan of this UK magazines for over a year now. I wanted talk about what a great resource this magazine is. I think that a US magazine publisher should come up with a magazine like this. I really like this magazine but i do not like paying the expensive export fee. If a US publisher took on this subject, maybe i could pick up a similar magazine for under $10.

The current issue talks about wordpress theming. I think that wordpress blogs will continue to grow as a web medium. More and more bloggers are getting into site development. As new web masters come into the game, we will see a rise in demand for professionally made wordpress themes. If you want to get started with wordpress theme design, you should check out the latest copy of web designer magazine.

There is another web master magazine that is called practical web design. That is another great magazine source for web designers and web developers.

I decided that it will take a bit more then just web browsing to learn how to theme web sites. I really do want to get into web design and i want to actively learn this new trade. I don’t have that much free time because of work, but i will save up about an hour a day to learn about web design. I will also devote a few hours during the weekend to this craft.

I bought a few books on blog design. I wanted to work on wordpress design first because it is something i understand. I already tweaked a few themes that other people have designed. I now want to understand it in detail so that i will be able to build a theme from the ground up. I know that i have to learn html and xhtml. I will have to also learn about CSS and PHP. As far as photoshop and illustrator, i already have those two down.

Before i get started, i wanted to inform you guys cause you guys have been with me since the beginning. Who know, if i get good at web design, i might offer my services to you guys.

There are people who tell you that you need to get a custom wordpress designed theme if you want to make you blog look professional. I have to disagree with these people. I think that there are a lot of free wordpress themes that you can easily customize. If you understand a little of how the themes are structured, you can easly turn that theme into your own. Why spend hundred of dollars or more on a paid theme when there are thousands of high quality themes that you can customize. I think that the people who try to push you into getting a custom theme do so because of commissions. In the get paid for blogging age, it is hard to trust the blog posts of most bloggers. It is kind of becoming like big media. We can’t trust what the news reports because of the conflict of interest or the bias. Bloggers are not getting paid to blog and this makes the medium open to censorship and bribery. Honest opinions are a thing of the past.

Maybe another from of blogging will arise out of this mess. But until that happens, locate a few bloggers who you feel are honest. Read those blogs and compare notes. Never trust the popular blogs.

When all else fails, you should opt for the most simple of designs. I think that most of you guys like the way Apple products are designed. I think that this company knows what makes a good design. The products that Apple feature are minimal and elegant. Design doesn’t have to be too elaborate. You can work with simple shapes and colors to make something look really fresh and new. When you work with web sites, you should also use this design theory. Try not to decorate you web site with too many images. Keep your background colors simple and clean. The best type of web sites are the ones that let the content do all the talking. You do not want to put people off by adding in too many flash animations or music. Just keep your site’s design simple. But, don’t make the design look plain. Try to have one point that accents your web design. If your site is about traveling, then you should insert a simple logo in the header. Do not place too many crazy ads on your web site either. Choose ads that blend in to you web design.

If you follow the simple steps that i outlined in the above paragraph, you should be able to manage a simple yet elegantly design web site.

I wanted to start up a wordpress theme segment on my blog. I have grown to love this blogging platform. It is versital and powerful. You can create a lot of different types of web site using wordpress. You can even create static web pages with wordpress. You don’t have to just use it for blogging.

When i first started using wordpress, i had trouble understanding all of the complex bits of data and code. I didn’t know what css or php was. Know i know what these coding languages are. I also know how to tweak the site to how i want it to run. It isn’t that hard to learn about wordpress design. If you want to create really unique blogs, you should learn about wordpress theme development. To get started, open up your current theme and take a look at the php and css files. If you have a html editor, you can open up the files using that program.

Make sure that you are using a copy of that file. You do not want to tweak a live site cause it can mess it up if you make a mistake.

I have been studying the last few months about wordpress. I am not that good with computer programs. I do not understand many of the codes associated with the web. When i started this blog, i had no idea what html or css was. I know a little bit now, but i still have to learn a lot to get good with web design. I don’t have that much free time to work on web design. I would like to spend more time on it, but i have been pretty busy lately with work.

I bought a few books to help me get started. When i manage to free up some of my time, i read over the book and mess around with some of the code. I want to start with wordpress theme design. I think that this will be easy to start with because i am already familar with how wordpress works. I tweaked a little bit of my theme. I know what php and css looks like cause i messed around with the admin section in wordpress. I do not know what all of the code means, but i plan on studying read hard. If you know want to learn how to design wordpress themes, you should hang around in the wordpress forums. There are a lot of helpful people who are willing to help.

I just thought about an idea. I think that more and more freelance work will be available in the near future. I think that people who run small businesses will all set up some sort of web site. When they do this, they will need freelancers to do some of the work for them. This will include work for designers and programmers. This will include work for writers as well. Site like elance and scriptlance already get a lot of traffic. There are a lot of visitors and members for these sites. I was thinking about setting up a site that is similar to these sites. I was thinking about melance. If i can get my hands on melance dot com, i think that i will set it up. I am pretty creative about these domain names. I learned from some of the best in the industry.
